When Lily entered the studio she looked like a typical teenager wearing jeans and a cute blouse with a fresh natural face. In tow were bags of gear for an Irish dancing portrait session. As her mother settled in the lounge area, we headed to the back room along with sister Gabby for light tests.
When Lily disappeared to the dressing room to prepare for the session Gabby stayed behind to play.
Lily emerged from the dressing room completely transformed. A gorgeous custom beaded dress, full curly wig and tan makeup are all part of the Irish dancing costume and an important part of scoring in competitions.
Lily began dancing at the age of seven with Shea - Jennings School of Irish Dance in Cranford, New Jersey. She'll be participating in numerous St. Patrick's Day events around the area including Darby Road, Kilkenny House and both St. Michael's and Roselle Catholics's shows. In July she heads to Orlando, Florida to compete in Nationals.
Good luck Lily!!!
